Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, I am the youngest of 3 siblings to first generation immigrant parents from the Philippines. I graduated from Harvard High School (now Harvard-Westlake) and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design from UCLA. I am a devoted husband of 25+ years, and am a proud father of 2 wonderful kids.
I consider myself a senior level creative with technical expertise in print and digital assets within Entertainment Advertising, Advertising, Marketing, Automotive, Packaging, and Publishing industries. Throughout my career I have worked in small, medium, and large agencies where I have built 29 years of skilled experience as a designer, production artist, finisher, and department manager. Most recently, I was employed as the Director of Production for 8-1/2 years at Art Machine in Los Angeles who was relied upon to provide technical guidance, establishing processes, ensuring compliance with Business Affairs and IT, and be the general problem-solver for any issues that may arise. It is my desire to play an active and integral role in day-to-day operations to ensure that my teams were responsible to deliver the best quality of products to my clients. Part of my assigned duties that included overseeing the Los Angeles, London, and Mumbai production teams, and leading operations for art finishing, designing templates, font and stock licensing, printing, building mechanicals, managing digital assets, server maintenance, photography, building presentation decks, and adaptation of key art for both print and digital deliverables. In addition, I was responsible for on-boarding new client relationships and working directly with print vendors for execution and delivery of client assets.
To that end, I have been well respected by my employees as a team leader who inspired his staff to always strive to exceed expectations and constantly grow their skillsets. My teams were relied upon to provide support and solutions to deal with fast-paced, client-driven requests, and I am always in the trenches with them as a hands-on supervisor. I take pride in the work that I do, and am committed to my my job and the teams I supervise.
In 2020, in response to the tragic passing of my beautiful daughter, I am the founder of the Jade Lee Marasigan Charitable Fund at the Northridge Hospital Foundation and the 501(c)(3) non-profit, Play For Jade Events Inc. The combined mission is to help adolescents who struggle with their mental health by providing access to guidance, support, education, and financial assistance for beneficial resources that may inspire hope and better outcomes.
